چکیده

In this work an experimental proof-of-concept of the Ca-Cu process has been carried out. The combines sorption-enhanced steam reforming methane with a Ca-based sorbent chemical looping Cu-based oxygen carrier to provide energy for regeneration. Each step studied separately different operating pressures and inlet gas compositions, addition complete cycles (including all three consecutive steps, viz. step, oxidation regeneration step) have performed evaluate technical feasibility process. pressure influences negatively, while steam-to-carbon ratio does not influence average outlet H2 (dry) fraction. When increasing O2 concentration during amount CO2 released increases, whereas decreases released. fraction in feed increases that is regenerated, reaching 70 wt% bed 60 vol% feed. CO2 recovery from CPU vent by Ca-looping process

One key unit operation in oxyfuel power plants is the CO2 purification unit (CPU), expected to be needed in most of oxyfuel installations to reduce the content of non-condensable gases (mainly O2, N2 and Ar), originated from the oxidant excess required for the combustion, air in-leakages and the non-100% purity of the O2 produced in the cryogenic ASU. Auto-refrigerated cryogenic processes are t...

An Experimental Study on the process parameters of Incremental Forming of Explosively-Welded Al/Cu Bimetal

Single point incremental sheet metal forming is a sheet metal forming process that forms products without the complex dies and tools with low cost. In this study, the incremental sheet metal forming process has been experimentally investigated on the explosively-welded Al/Cu bimetal sheets. Also, the effects of process parameters, such as arrangement of layer`s bimetal, tool diameter and tool p...

Syngas Chemical Looping Process for Hydrogen Production: Bench Scale Demonstration and Process Simulation

The Syngas Chemical Looping (SCL) process converts gaseous fuels such as syngas and hydrocarbons into hydrogen and electricity while capturing 100% of the CO2 generated 1, . The SCL process simplifies the overall fuel conversion scheme while reducing pollutants in an indirect but highly effective manner. This is achieved via a specially tailored Fe2O3 based composite particle. As a result, hydr...

CO2 multicyclic capture of pretreated/doped CaO in the Ca-looping process. Theory and experiments.

We study in this paper the conversion of CaO-based CO2 sorbents when subjected to repeated carbonation-calcination cycles with a focus on thermally pretreated/doped sorbents. Analytical equations are derived to describe the evolution of conversion with the cycle number from a unifying model based on the balance between surface area loss due to sintering in the looping-calcination stage and surf...

Effect of heat pretreatment/recarbonation in the Ca-looping

7 Even though an increasing number of pilot-scale plants are demonstrating the potential ef8 ficiency of the Ca-looping technology to capture CO2 at a commercial level, a still standing 9 matter of concern is the loss of carbonation reactivity of the regenerated CaO by calcination, 10 which is expected to be particularly marked at realistic conditions necessarily implying a high 11 CO2 partial ...
